Konungens Stiftelse Ungt Ledarskap, The King’s Foundation Young Leadership, was established in 2006 in conjunction with King Carl XVI Gustaf’s 60th birthday. The initiative for the foundation came from the Guides and Scouts of Sweden, with broad support from individuals, companies, and organizations. Today, the King serves as Honorary Chairman and works through the foundation to unite, recognize, and encourage young value-based leaders.
The foundation’s vision is a better world through young people who lead with courage, care, and drive. Our values are based on those of the scouting and guiding movement—a movement with which we still have a strong connection. Our purpose is to uplift, develop, and educate young leaders, so that they are strengthened in their value-based leadership.
Our scholarship, which is awarded annually to 3–5 young leaders who have demonstrated exceptional leadership based on courage, care, and drive.
Support for the leadership training within the Swedish scouting and guiding movement, primarily through the training program "Value-Based Leadership."
